ABOUT katherine+anna
Katherine+Anna was founded in 2021 by soprano Katherine Weber and pianist Anna Betka. They connected over their mutual interest in performing works by woman composers paired with pieces on the fringe of standard repertoire. Together soprano Katherine Weber and pianist Anna Betka created a diverse program of music encompassing the beauty found within the ebb and flow in all passages of time.

ABOUT KATHERINE
American soprano Katherine Weber is best known as a “confident singing actress with a magnetic stage presence and abundant potential” (Opera News). Ms. Weber has appeared with esteemed companies such as the Aspen Music Festival, Central City Opera, Virginia Opera, and Chicago Opera Theater. In concert she has enjoyed performances with Noord Nederland Orkest, Zemlinsky Chamber Orchestra, and Boulder Symphony. A two-time district winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Ms. Weber holds degrees from Indiana University and Viterbo University.

Czech-Canadian musician Anna Betka is a dynamic solo and collaborative pianist. In North America, Dr. Betka has performed in diverse venues such as Roy Thompson Hall, Lincoln Center and the National Sawdust. Dr. Betka has also performed in Germany, France, Czech Republic, and the UK. She is an alumna of the Aspen Music Festival and School, Toronto Summer Music Festival and Academy, Banff Center for the Arts, The Glimmerglass Festival and Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. As a chamber musician, Dr. Betka has performed, premiered and recorded many contemporary works in the United States and Canada. She holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the State University of New York Stony Brook. As an educator, Dr. Betka has served on the Pre-College Faculty at Stony Brook University and is currently Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University.
